I'm a firefighter. For two years my sleep schedule has been decided by whenever the tones decided to drop then expected to be a normal person on my days off. And how'd I achieve that? With two pots of coffee, slapping a band-aid on a probelm from last night.
What they don't tell you is the sleep patterns follow you home. After work I'd come home to "recover" and my sleep was absolutely horrible. After hours of tossing and turning I would finally fall asleep to just continuously wake up. I tried 10mg doses of melatonin, roughly 20x what anyone needs... Magnesium powders that taste like pond water. None of it worked.
What finally fixed my circadian rhythm was in the research, not on the label. Real glycine, at the dose the studies used. Half a milligram of melatonin, not ten. Ashwagandha to reduce my cortisol, Saffron to help me stay asleep... and the list goes on. In total I was taking over 6 supplements every single night.
So Sleepover is the thing I wanted on my own counter: the doses from the studies, in something that tastes like the popsicle. My schedule will always be a work in progress, but now I can recover at home.
